NCS Fluid Systems, a leader in water management services is seeking experienced Field Technicians for an upcoming project.

NCS Fluid Systems provides a wide range of water management services including, hydrostatic testing, water management, well-point dewatering, sewage bypass, hydraulic fracturing water supply, emergency flood suppression and system rentals. We also provide fluid transfer and water management services to construction sites, mine sites, municipalities, and all segments of the energy sector, in both planned and emergency environments. The Role

Reporting to the Project Manager, as a Field Technician you will:

  • Set up and operate specified tools and equipment, with assistance from Supervisor, Lead, or support personnel.
  • Read production orders to verify quality standards for specifications, processes and procedures.
  • Monitor testing equipment operation and accuracy.
  • Verify that vessels, procedures and processes conform to applicable work instructions.
  • Complete necessary documentation for testing requirements and results.
  • Use overhead crane, hoist or forklift, as necessary, to deliver product to area of next operation.
  • Assist in diagnosing vessel, equipment or tool problems and resolve, as necessary.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and calibration processes on specified tools and equipment.
  • Follow directions and perform tasks as assigned by Forepersons and Project Managers.
  • Ensure that work, staging and storage areas are safe and clean.
  • Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follow all safety procedures, assist in the promotion of safety culture within the company.

To Fit the Role:

You are a technically/mechanically inclined, high energy, and motivated self-starter who works well with minimal supervision. Qualifications include:

  • 2 to 3 years of experience in hydro-testing; oil and gas sector preferred.
  • Experience with filter pots preferred.
  • Knowledge of the practices, methods, techniques, tools and equipment used in the performance of maintenance work as assigned.
  • Willing to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions.
  • Able to lift and carry up to 50lbs.
  • Ability to work extended shifts, out of town and weekend work, and overtime as required.
  • Knowledge of HSE Manual, safety practices, safe work methods and safety regulations pertaining to the work.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, follow instructions and provide feedback as required.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and initiative within established guidelines.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective external and internal working relationships.

We offer a competitive compensation package including base wage (depending on experience), comprehensive benefits package and a great team!

We are offering paid flights, travel paid from home base and camp or hotel accommodations (contract specific). The areas of this work would be lower mainland BC, northwestern BC, interior BC and Alberta.
